Weather reports haven't been totally dependent on satellite forever. In the grand scheme of the service that's a recent development. Scientists are not stupid. They know how to improvise and reimplement.

Things will be regressive, less expansive and decentralized. Everyone will suffer. Even the greedy satellite owners.

The regime doesn’t want to pay for the expertise to provide the interpretation of the data. I'm interested in waiting to see how the national and international meteorological societies respond.
