and that’s any President. Trump thinks anything anywhere negative is tied to him and more importantly to him he thinks that everyone thinks so because everyone MUST be as obsessed with him as he is.

In a much less lethal way (luckily) is the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case. The lawyer who admitted that a mistake was made HAD to be fired. They’ve stayed on Garcia mercilessly even though Costa Rica offered an easy resolution. An example must be made out of Garcia. Trump can’t admit a mistake so in this case the mistake must be punished.

This is the same. The guy made a horrible mistake. Just start the investigation and show that he has accountability but NO down the line they have to protect Trump.
