deployments or speaking out against what was clearly illegal orders, as there was no imminent threat from either country and no declaration of war from congress.
So the true answer is no, the reality is something different. I was careful when I spoke up and only did a few times such as when a young female petty officer was being verbally berated for not being a right-winger.
