verify the factual basis for the suit before filing it.

This story has already been reported on DU in another thread.

The Federal courts impose sanctions upon those who fail to comply with Rule 11.

Yet there are those who are already showing skepticism about the reported story. I wonder about the humanity of the cops who needlessly pepper-spray and taze people. I also wonder about the humanity of those, notwithstanding repeated videotapes of police deliverying unnecessary and excessive violence, who express their disbelief in such stories.

Wasn't it just recently when there was a reported story of a 17-year old thug in Georgia who was engaging in armed robbery and shot a mother and then shot her infant in the face. Weren't there those who were suggesting that the mother was somehow involved? The cops found the gun which was traceable to the shooter. They also found that this wasn't the first time that he shot someone. What's wrong with these people?
