A lot of these people are probably cowards at heart - but if their leaders can motivate them enough, rally up the crazy well enough... well, this could be very ugly. Imagine hundreds of gun nuts marching through Washington with loaded rifles... on the 4th of July. If just one of them goes even crazier and starts shooting, the response from police, security, or even military forces... well, I expect it would be overwhelming. They would then create martyrs through one simple, overwhelmingly stupid act performed by someone who was probably too drunk to realize he was squeezing the trigger.

There's potential for all kinds of disaster here. I hope that cooler heads will prevail, and that most of these idiots will either stay home, or that they'll be arrested before they can commence with this idiocy.
