89. I agree with much of what you say but

where do you come up with 900 guns nationwide? We have more people than that who own guns just in many counties of Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee etc. even many with small populations.
do not forget that guns are passed down from generation to generation and many many democrats from Appalachia and the Ozarks own guns as do most hunters of every state.
These gun marchers are hoping to have their guns confiscated so they can say guns are being seized by Obama and democrats in order to foster more lies about gun control now that the killing of innocent children is making an impact on the public and even many gun owners.
Hopefully the police will remove their guns unload them, search the individuals who carried the guns and any other supporters for more ammunition, issue significant financial tickets maybe 500 dollars or so to each, retain the ammunition and return the guns. In this way we provide reasonable protection of the public as well as giving them right to march. We have to hope the police will be the grown ups.
These marchers must suffer significant penalties for their blatant breaking of DC law but we must not give them any satisfaction.
