Maduro, and the Chavez kids are human.

They aren't the first, and they sure as heck won't be the last who want to hold on to the goodies they have, and in Maduro's case, power.

This near-deification of first Hugo Chavez and now Maduro is what Maduro counts on.

And apparently this "Thou must not speak ill of our heroes" is also in effect for Yassir Arafat and the current corrupt Palestinian government.

The right-wing has this in effect for their image of Ronald Reagan. (Not the real one.)
