(62,325 posts)so many questions that are not answered in the initial reporting.
If he was becoming a nuisance, they might not have rushed to answer his every call, however they do have to respond when they get a call.
I read somewhere that the time from when he called them to when they got there (and I'm not sure if the cops who did get there were responding only to the several eyewitness calls or if they were the same cops who would have been responding to his call anyhow) was approx. 20 minutes.
From the latest reports it's hard to tell if he was in the car when he called the police, and if when he told them he was following the 'suspect' whether he was driving or on foot. It's important because if the cops got there 20 minutes after the call from him, what was he doing during that time? Was he walking or driving when he followed him? Now we know that the teenager told his girlfriend he was walking fast, apparently trying to get away from Zimmerman. She told him to run.
And did he have the gun on him or was it in the car and he went back to get it. I wonder where the car was when the cops got there. That would tell something about how far he had walked before the shooting.
They claim to have investigated the crime. They surely asked all these questions, and they must have found the cell phone.
