In reply to the discussion: Ted Cruz: Christians Shouldn’t Be Required To Do Business With Gay People [View all]JohnnyRingo
(20,393 posts)16. Does that mean he thinks non-Christians should indeed be required to serve gays?
Since religion seems to be his only discerning factor, I assume that means non-believers should have to abide within the parameters of anti-discrimination laws. Do we need a Christian statement of faith when opening a business so they can operate by their own set of laws?
Should Catholics be allowed to turn away people only because they are Jewish? That would be an interesting sign in the window.

Lester Maddox agrees with you. He used the very same argument to keep his restaurant segregated.

Don't worry Ted. "Christians" who won't buy or sell from gays aren't really Christian at all.

Religion's real purpose is to keep people from demanding their fair share of the wealth.

Ted Cruz must not be a Christian or an American. He doesn't believe in BASIC equal rights for all.
