I have had to ponder how to answer...
This could get difficult and I don't want to go into a discussion of Christianity. But..

I would say that REAL 'real' Christians, are those who try to live their lives as Jesus taught, or perhaps according to what was written by those who wrote about what they say he taught. They are the ones who really ponder the meaning of those teachings, those ideas, who have an actual intentional spiritual practice. Thomas Merton comes to mind.

Then there are the everyday 'real' Christians who have...a strong 'belief' in.. something, and try to live their lives well and with respect.

And then there are the Ted Cruzes of the world. people as psychologically disturbed as the Taliban. There is a quite wide range of these deranged beings.

There are fewest by far of the first. As to the second and third... I certainly would think, and HOPE, there are more of the second. A lot more.
