No one should shoot rockets into their neighboring country. If they do, they should expect a violent military response.
What would we do if a bunch of Canadians shot 189 rockets into the US? We would shoot back far more rockets than the Canadians shot in. That is what Israel is doing.
Don't shoot unless you want to get shot back. That is just common sense.
You raise the issue that I have been raising. Israel is in a difficult position because it needs peace, but the Palestinians do not seem to have the internal control and discipline over their citizens to be able to insure peace. As long as the Palestinians cannot enforce a peace agreement against their own extremists, any agreement with Israel will be very difficult to negotiate and perhaps impossible to maintain.
No country has to remain peaceful when the citizens of another country attack it. That is just the law of nations. All countries have the right to defend themselves.
