You're so right on the money. Too much hate.

When I look around at all the trouble in the world, I see now that tribal hatred is the source of humankind's deepest evil.

The very definition of bigotry is judging a person based on their group or class, instead of their person. When I learned (grudgingly at first) that I could accept political or religious differences without needing to concede my own, my heart (like the Grinch's) grew three sizes that day. And, I found that I strengthened my own left-of-center views too, because I re-examined and re-confirmed them, rather than kept repeating them from rote.
