In reply to the discussion: Heinous ASL prank moves Drew Carey to donate 10,000 reward for catching pranksters [View all]Voice for Peace
(13,141 posts)78. I'm not sure what you are looking for, from me.
I've pretty much explained my point of view. I never
suggested they should be given a pass, or have no
consequences. And I don't pretend to know an alternative
that would be more effective than prison. I just don't
think prison, as the system stands today, is effective,
for practically anybody, not just kids. But especially
kids. Even if they are sociopathically inclined high
schoolers.
Every single person is redeemable. I'm sorry if you
don't believe this, but I do. This is an interesting
relevant video, if you have the time, around ten
minutes long. Listening to these inmates' stories
was an eye opener.

I don't love him--he supports Republicans and Libertarians. He did a good thing in this instance,

No, it is not "feeble" at all. You don't think I judge George Bush on HIS politics?

I am fine with your suggestion, if it were to turn out that way, and not incarceration.

Yep. Everyone is much of a rush to get things out there that there is no editing.

This is, by FBI definition, a HATE CRIME. Find them, try them as adults, lock them the hell up.

Yes--these aren't "pranksters". They assaulted this kid on the basis of his disability.

Why would anyone refer to this bahavior as a prank. Doesn't seem like a "prank" to me.
