You know who pushed such a meme? Fucking Democrats for years with stupid efforts at "bipartisanship", "meeting in the middle", "I agree with Governor Bush", having "80% common ground", retaining their worst hacks after defeating them and allowing said fucks to dominate policy and continue their wicked agenda, candidate after candidate running races based on muddying the waters, going after that corporate bread, and leadership dominated by Koch Brother's Trojan Horse the DEC and it's various siblings and rebrands.

The Turd Way gambit failed, Reich wingers never bought it and became convincible but too many Democrats do because that is the most consistent message coming to them from their own party for a fucking generation.

It amazes me that the exact same folks who pushed most adamantly this idiotic message are the most frustrated that it worked (though granted not with the audience it was supposedly designed for).

The feckless idiots have convinced the nonpartisan voter that there is no rationale for ever voting for a Democrat and now you wanna cry about it? It was what you and yours have pushed for 25 years or more.
