He is completely disgusted with the US approach to handling it, starting with Trumps' non-handling it until it was too late, and currently Biden's efforts along with the CDC. He says Americans may be tired of Covid and want to act like it is no longer here, but it is. Relaxing masking and other easy to attain preventive measures is just prolonging the pandemic. This is all being done to keep our economy in the black. But, Covid is not going anywhere. The human body can get Covid over and over again. It builds up some natural immunity, but not strong enough to repel it completely. A person can get Covid once and die. Others can get it several times and can only have mild symptoms, but the body can only take so much and it will kill you eventually.
There have been so many reports of 35-60 years old being released from a hospital stay with Covid, going home, and then dying of a stroke or heart attack, listed as not Covid related. But, those deaths are Covid related. It is a blood borne toxin that gets into every organ of your body. It will and can kill you. My son seems to think, and this is from literature he has read and forums he is a part of with medical professionals, that in the near future there will be many unexpected deaths from people that had Covid, even mild cases. It just takes longer to kill some people.
Wear masks, stay away from indoor crowds, and don't put yourself in a position where you compromise your own safety. Right now it is every man/woman for themselves. The government is too concerned with the stock market and keeping the economy rolling along. They are not giving out good information and not doing their best to keep us safe. Granted, they can't tackle people and give them the vaccine or force them to wear a mask, but they need to get true information out. They just held a moment of silence a couple of days to commemorate 1,000,000 million dead Americans. The Worldometer had us at one million over six weeks ago. Just a little fib to try and make it look like we are doing better. And Who thinks all Covid deaths around the world are very under counted and that the world total is 15,000,000, not 6.3 million.
Stay safe.
