18. All vaccines have "non takers." No one knows why

because right now we're in the infancy of understanding our own genome.

I was a non taker to smallpox and measles. The latter excluded me from working in pediatrics. This is not a bad thing.

I had the two shots plus the original disease in March, 2020 and a super mild breakthrough case in December. If I'm not immune to the bastard by now, I'm not going to be.

Cases are going to happen. My breakthrough case was a pallid 3 day imitation of the original 2 week horror, so the vaccine worked as advertised for me.

My state's vax rate is now 88% and that helps One county has what is being described as a medium outbreak, their vax rate 50%.

We are never going to get to zero Covid. However, if you live in a low vax state, you know the drill: avoid crowds, mask indoors and encourage others to do so, also, wash your hands before you touch your face, and if you've been lucky enough to avoid the disease, get those boosters in addition to the two shots.
