Most of them believed the extermination of Native Americans was justified by "Manifest Destiny," and the United States was destined by God to expand its dominion across the entire continent. Many southern christians believed that slavery was "an institution of God," using bible verses to sanctify the practice.

It's obvious America's conservative christian universities should teach their students CRT (Critical Religious Theory). It might open their eyes to the horrors perpetrated by their own churches. But, that would be too "woke" for them.
