Lansing police handcuff a Black teenager for taking out the trash

https://hip-hopvibe.com/news/police-handcuff-a-black-teenager-for-taking-out-the-trash/

Situations like these are why the Montgomery brawl was such a celebrated moment. Most people never have to worry about being harassed by the cops while taking out the trash. But one teenage boy had to deal with this, with his father looking right at him. In Lansing, Michigan, a boy was taking the trash out of his apartment, and wound up in handcuffs. Also, at least five cop cars pulled up on him, as his father asked what the boy did wrong.

While the police were harassing the child, people looked on in disbelief. There was one person recording the entire situation and explaining what happened. According to the person recording, the boy barely had time to make it to the dumpster, before the cops confronted him. Even after learning the child lived in the neighborhood, they still put cuffs on him. As a result, the boy’s father confronted the cops over the situation.

A Lansing, Michigan teenage boy wound up having a terrifying moment. The boy was simply following his father’s instructions. As a result, he was outside takin out the trash. Things like that are supposed to be character building, not life-threatening and humiliating. Instead, the boy was handcuffed in front of his whole neighborhood. Even as his father explained the situation, the boy was escorted to the back of the cop car, as more officers arrived. Thankfully, the boy was let go.

And someone who took boxes upon boxes of classified documents gets the red carpet treatment.
