...sexual abuse and exploitation has been ongoing for as long as there have been written records, and long, long before. It's so prevalent one might say it's just "human nature." It's still wrong, but the (primarily) male sexual urge knows practically no bounds. We still can't seem to keep fathers from molesting their own daughters. I wonder what that actual rate of abuse is? Committed by 5%, 10% of the population? Higher? As far as I know, no one has attempted to put a number to it.

Same with gays. They have always been with us. Occasionally local or national outrage flares up and people go to jail, but it does not slow or reduce the % of people who are gay. Likewise, the number of people who are afraid of gays and beat them up, or kill them, seems remarkably consistent.
