about 2 issues I think HE is not standing up on. The first is the proposed billionaire's tax in Ca. which would close gaps in education, health, and food insecurity that will be left by the BBB. Second is his refusal to recognize Israel's intentional genocide of Palestinians which officials themselves have attested to (w/out using the G word) and which genocide scholars, all humanitarian organizations including two based in Israel, numerous international doctors, respected Jewish historians agree has happened.
His excuse for not being pro wealth tax is that billionaires will leave the state. He vastly underestimates CA's historical and very special attributes. Some contend that his reluctance is rooted in his need for billionaires to finance his run for the presidency. Similarly, he might be loathe to alienate pro-Israel voters he will need in future, a substantial number of the democratic electorate.
Ah, well. Politicians will be politicians.
