but probably won't read it again.

I tend to agree with your assessment, it's been awhile but I remember thinking that the book was a little too fragmented and I felt it threw the pacing off. It would just start getting good and weird and then off on a tangent.

Aronofsky would be an interesting pick to direct a movie like that. I think that Guillermo Del Toro would have some fun with it. Speaking of him have you seen The Devil's Backbone? If you like creepy and odd that film is a fun time.
