However, I do not know what Biden's position on the matter is right now. And hypocrisy is not changing positions, it's holding one position while lying about it to others. No one can be called to task to hold the same positions now as they did years ago. If that were the case, there would be no point in education and no value in experience.

Someone who, for example, five years ago thought that waterboarding isn't torture, might, after some investigation, change their mind and position on the matter. That's not hypocrisy, it's education at work. If you're looking for a source of hypocrisy in this matter, look at the source, FOX News, and consider its hypocrisy, which is staring you right in the face and is in fact a good example of such.

Biden, not so much.

And I totally disagree with TIA both back then and now, but Biden has not been shown to be a hypocrite here. I am pleased to note that he was against TIA then, and have hope that he might still hold that position today. In fact, I do also think that Obama might also be amenable to restrictions and regulation of the powers in this matter.

And I do think it should be noted that the FBI and the DHS and all the other three letter agencies are NOT "this administration". Changing the titular head doesn't change the entire organization.
