46. When someone says 'ALMOST 2000' like it's a relevant point, it's important to fix it in context.

'Almost 2000' out of how many? Oh. A LOT. I see. Don't want to talk about numbers, don't bring up numbers.

AE911 was claiming 'almost 2000' members in '05.

And yes, I have checked those places. Current fire models are much more informed than they were 15 years ago, for high rise structures. We had a lot of theory, and not much practice. Practice has informed the models. The new 'Freedom Tower' WTC building is only, for instance, actually rated to withstand a 1,200c fire for 4 hours. If it is allowed to burn longer than that, it risks collapse. A significant improvement (mostly due to technical floors and liberal use of concrete supports instead of just steel) over the original twin towers and WTC7. Still not an invulnerable building.
