Thanks for citing some actual analysis.

The firemen in the video Zeemike linked use the phrase 'molten metal' more often than not, and again, you can't just look at molten metal and know, with nothing more than human eyes, specifically what kind of metal or alloy of metals it is. There are tests for that. Tests not performed by said people.

The explanation is quite simple. The only 'hot' metal we see being pulled out by excavators, is nowhere NEAR the temperature range of molten steel. There are no puddles of later-solidified molten steel. The best evidence the twofers have is the 'meteroite', which is actually evidence of COMPACTION not molten steel.
