I used the "doesn't this image belong on the DU home page" line to get people to look at it ... shameless I know ...

But I actually hope that the media places those 2 images side by side ... and shows them to the GOP candidates ... and then asks them what they think about the juxtaposition.

For a long time, the GOP has used manufactured anger against "the gays" because it gave them a political advantage ... I think images like these can help accelerate an end to that.

I think most Americans, seeing those two images side by side, would smile.

Of course the insane right wing base will have exploding head syndrome, but that's good in my opinion.
