I mean, this attack coming right after Pig Pen Bannon was chucked out of the NSA, replaced by two dim but generally harmless wingnuts? Pig Pen was far from harmless.

Still, this was just a shot across the bow, so far, even though Syrian media are howling about many civilian casualties. I'm going to let the ripeness develop for a few days, honestly, before I start spouting any of my own theories about the whiplash inducing change of policy.
