Things like:

It's not my problem.
It's their fault they don't have more money or a better job.
Tell 'em to get a job.
Why should I pay for their health insurance?

Yeah, pretty heartless, and refusing to accept the reality that there is, and always will be, a stratum of incomes in the country. There will always be those that have more and those that have less. Even when everyone's income goes up, there is still a bottom and still a top. People are worthy and are entitled to health care, no matter their income.

(The ACA didn't get it quite right, though. Wish they'd work on tweaking that, but we know they won't.)
