The Standells. This was a time when any song over three minutes long was considered "too long" for the AM radio stations. They definitely had a British sound, an Eric Burden and the Animals bluesy style. That used to be a standard in our "garage" band of the day (The Humans), with myself as front man and vocalist.
I remember those exciting days like it was yesterday. It was a great time to be young and American. Then came Vietnam.
Damn, I'm getting old.
