8. I remember seeing this scene in the film "Suffragette" with Carey Mulligan,

Helena Bonham-Carter and Meryl Streep. Emily was played by Natalie Press. It was such a shocking scene.

I had no idea until I watched that film what these women went through to secure the vote for women. They were so incredibly brave and determined. Today, when I hear these millennial women say "I'm not a feminist" or "I'm not into politics" I just want to scream! They have no idea what women before them went through so that they could have the freedoms that they enjoy today.
