According to The Wall Street Journal, federal prosecutors have evidence that Trump directed his former fixer Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations, and others to make payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen MacDougal. Trump previously denied knowledge of the payments.
This very detailed report reinforces that the president of the United States very likely lied to the public about his role in paying hush money to a porn star who alleged an affair with him, in possible violation of federal campaign finance law.
So.
This is both 1) not remotely surprising given Cohen's statement during his plea that Trump directed him to commit two felonies; and 2) a staggeringly big deal ->
