Lets start with the flimsy reason Thom brings about "people of color" and "white people" in Venezuela. Venezuelan's have never cared about color, a common nickname for a dark person in Venezuela is "negro", and they are proud to have that nickname.
For Thom Hartman and Richard Wolf to not recognize that this is not about racism, that it is about a regime that is not "socialist", "democratic", but a ruthless dictatorship and a kleptocracy of the highest order is a sad situation that misleads people in the USA who watches them and don't bother to read about the topic somewhere else.
Venezuela is a bank account for the thugs that hold the government, Maduro is Colombian, he was not born in Venezuela and all the people in the government are not fit to hold positions in the government or even be executives at small businesses. Some of the people in the government today do not have the ability to write well, and when you hear them speak you end up thinking trump is an academic.
The other day one of the senators was praising some industry they claim they started and said "it is magnificent, they build 400 chairs in one week, which comes down to 4,000 chairs per month"...you do the math.
Guaido is not white as Thom and Wolf imply, Venezuela is a melting pot, has always been and yes, a lot of its citizens have European ancestors because, guess what, we were once a Spanish colony, after World War II a lot of Germans migrated to Venezuela, a lot of Italians, Portuguese, and many other nations, the jew population is huge, and they all get along, they don't have racial issues like the USA has. That claim of color is disingenuous to say the least.
Very sad commentary the one about Venezuela. The reason Bolivia is not like Venezuela is because Bolivia is a "Democratic/Socialist" country, but Venezuela is a kleptocracy, its government traffics with drugs, its military is corrupt and there are Cubans in high command, they have brought the country to its knees, the oil infrastructure is in shambles, the infrastructure of the country is too, all they do is rob, support terrorist groups, and thos so called socialists live like kings in huge mansions in Venezuela...
Thom Hartman and Richard Wolf have disgraced themselves with those commentaries, I keep wondering if Thom Hartman has become the fox news of the Maduro regime.
