12. I think that our governmental system and ecomonic system are 2 different things.

We could have socialism and not violate the constitution (at least a social democracy like Europe). This is probably closer to the original intent than our current system. Our nation wasn't just a rebellion against the British government, but against their support of early multi-national corporations.
To me the one economic system that isn't separate from the government is fascism. And we romping well down that path. That is why a moderate that is just going to maintain the status quo won't fix anything. They won't bring us back up that path. They'll maintain current conditions until the public gets angry again and elects another lunatic that will take us further to the right. This cycle has already repeated ad nauseum.
