3. I have to say this-

Even though I'm just starting to watch this talk, his introduction reminded me of something that happened in 1975. My mother was driving me home from my first year of college. As we drove down the highway I was upset about two things. I was obsessed with them, in fact. Nuclear contamination of the planet, and world population. My mother told me not to worry until I saw the whites of their eyes, so to speak. And here I am, nearly 40 years later, watching one of the planet's brightest minds saying just what I was saying.

I'm going to go outside for a while. I need a walk. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
