10. TFT pretty much went into hiberation during the Obama years, and we were happy to do it

If there is a new period where there are no awful things going on, or disgusting Republicans causing misery, I'm perfectly happy to return to hibernation. I would be only too happy for a situation that would spur it on.

However, the extremist lunatic fringe seems to have captured the Republican Party, and they don't seem to be aware that in politics, you sometimes have to spend some time in the opposition. While we don't expect to be bombarded with horrible happenings on a daily basis, like we were during the Trump era, we don't see a time of peace and harmony, either. Too many extremists don't seem to get that there are people with a different point of view from their own, and that such views are just as legitimate as their own.
