In spite of her personal issues, she was kick-ass and I enjoyed the show a lot. My son was an EMT volunteer for a brief time... he says he truly enjoyed it and thought it would be an entryway into the fire department. But after a year, the reality hit him and he couldn't see himself hanging of the back of a firetruck when he got older. So he pursued other career opportunities.

Nurses are on the frontline. Thanks to them all.

One of my dearest friends is a nurse, and she's about ready to call it quits. It's just too much to see so much death, day after day, being able to do nothing about it, and treating patients who didn't care enough in the first place (or who deny covid exists while gasping for air).

I don't know how she does it. The other day on FB she posted a photo of a janitor's supply closet and captioned it "This is where I go to cry."
