10. France had the most powerful army in the world when Germany attacked them in WWII

They French had more and better tanks, more and better artillery, and more troops. Half of their border was unassailable with the weapons of the day, and yet the Germans defeated them in a matter of weeks. It was a failure of leadership. It was making the error of them preparing for what they thought that the enemy would do, not what he was capable of doing. It wasn't like they didn't have time to prepare between Poland and the invasion of France.

What do you think has changed in France in the last 80 years, that would lead you to believe that If Russia defeated Germany (which was my original proposition) that France would continue the fight and be willing to be incinerated after beginning a nuclear war with Russia? I think, given the parameters that I laid out, the the French would be throwing flowers at the feet of the invading Russian tanks instead of atoms. Otherwise, they would be massing troops with their Western European allies to face Putin today with conventional weapons. If Putin succeeds, in his current endeavor, it will be the beginning, not the end.

We never learn from out mistakes and it will be the end of our species.
