37. Funny how that works.

Many years ago my sister and her son came to stay for a while, he was 2.5 years old. I thought I had childproofed my place pretty well. I had raised his mother so I thought I had it under control. Within an hour of their arrival he showed me a whole bunch of stuff I had missed! But he was also like an adult when he spoke and expected to be treated like an adult. We have always been close because I figured that out early on, he became the son I never had. Now he's in his 40s!

Kids, they sure do teach you a lot.
