7. Pete Seeger, also found in contempt of Congress, was sentenced to ten one year terms

to be served simultaneously.

His conviction was thrown out on appeal, but the case haunted him for years.

Seeger actually turned up when subpoenaed, but refused to answer questions about his political beliefs, who he voted for, and who he associated with, saying these were all in violation of his First Amendment rights.

Sentenced to ten one year terms. But then he was a left wing folk singer opposing Jim Crow, not a right wing thug plotting to overthrow the government.
