1. Republicans seem to be attracted to shamelessness, like flies on...

There's a well-known anecdote about Karl Rove, as a college student in the early '70s, stealing a college Repugs election by waiting until all the votes were tabulated, and then citing some obscure bylaw that rendered every ballot but his "invalid."

(they had to have the logo on the lower right corner, or some inane thing like that)

Suffice it to say, the real winner was none too pleased - and, being of patrician background as he was, appealed straight to the RNC head himself: George H.W. Bush.

Bush heard both young men out - and after a few minutes thanked the aggrieved guy, waving him away (!).

The reason? He was impressed by not only the sagacity of young Karl Rove - but the sheer shamelessness.

"We can definitely use resourceful young men like you in the party," Bush told the impish young Karl. And the rest, as they say, is history.

The takeaway here is that the GOP rewards loyalty, yes - but just as much, brazenness and shamelessness.

So my guess is that yes, the intrepid Jorginho has a future in the party - until some gay scandal does him in.

The church ladies wouldn't like it, you know.
