This has to be on the minds of every player--NFL and college.

As I look forward to the NCAA Championship next Monday between UGA and TCU, I have to wonder what those players are thinking. I do, generally, think college football is a tiny bit safer given they do tend to enforce the rules and the players are (on average) not quite so big as the NFL, but still...

If I had a young son, I might let him play tag football, but I'd have to think long and hard about whether or not I'd want them to pursue full contact. Of course, baseball can be quite dangerous (even more likely to result in Commotio Cortis--however rare overall), and of course hockey. Yes, to those who say all sports can be dangerous, but there are definitely degrees of risk and levels of protection against them.
