If we want to get more people in Texas to vote blue, then we need to get our message out there which means supporting our own. Luke reaches a demographic that Democrats also wants to reach. Luke does support progressive causes, the issue at this time with his vlogs is his lack of institutional knowledge which experience will develop.

Luke's situation isn't much different than some of the people that we see on other YouTube channels like Medias Touch or The Young Turks. Some of the correspondents are top-of-the-mark while others are outright annoying. I do appreciate the fact that Luke isn't hyperbolic and the video clips avoid the loud musical introductions and closings. Other than a brief message to subscribe and that he is on Patreon, Luke doesn't promote his own brand of merchandise either.
