3. The female officer is very reasonable about the whole situation

She knows right from wrong, no matter who is at fault, cop or not.

The cop who perpetuated the assault is guilty and it occurs to him that he's screwed, which is why he just wants it all to go away.

The officer in the patrol car is also part of the problem, looking to protect his colleague regardless of evidence. You can only imagine how much of this crap still goes on when there is no video as proof and how it was prevalent for decades before video became so common.
