date and his reasoning shows that from a purely pursuing the prosecution at trial he is ready to go with witnesses and strategy and just needs the time to be careful about security clearances for all involved who will get to see any classified matters. I think a short way into his work he had a pretty good framework of what happened and then he has been constructing the case as the witnesses testified and texts/phone records/e-mails came rolling in. He was smart not to just compile a bunch of testimony etc. and then sort it out at the end but rather to build the factual progression and legal case as he went along. I had reservations about it all at various times but have been more than happy to admit those reservations weren't needed.
