2. I bought a Sears Heavy Duty Washing Machine IN 1987.

It moved with us to the house we bought in 1989 and sold with that house in 2016. We raised 3 daughter and washed many loads and it never required servicing. I dropped a bottle of detergent on the selector knob and broke it. When i picked up the replacement at Sears Parts the new knob was all metal instead of plastic.

I guess they do 't build the like that anymore.
