Don't trivialize real life by asking me to take cartoon characters seriously.
To compare Stevie Nicks to a woman in a woman's shelter is to be oblivious, and trivializing and frankly a little bit obscene.
How people come up with these kinds of associationson the internet - not caring about Stevie Nicks is the same as the tragedy of domestic abuse - is extremely disturbing...
You know, the beat I study on this website is the environment and its relationship to human poverty, seen through a prism of the scientific literature.
You comment reminds me of the kind of people who carry on about the importance of Elon Musk's stupid car for billionaires and millionaires as if it mattered, this on a planet where hundreds of thousands of people die - most of them children - because as the World Health Organization reports, 2.1 billion people lack access to clean water.
If there were 1/50th as many people who gave a shit about that fact - the lack of clean water for billions of people - as do the sordid lives of some stupid rock stars somewhere, or, to mention a similarly insipid bourgeois affectation, Tesla cars, the world would be a decent place.
But it's not a decent place. It's a cartoon, bread and circuses.
History will not forgive us, nor should it.
