10. Without an electrical connection you are pretty much out of luck

The electrical connection powers the control circuits and the heater that heats the water. All the models I reviewed require one. Running an extension cord isn't a great idea.

It might be worth asking the landlord. If you were to hire an electrician they recommend I don't know why they would have an issue with it. Usually it's just a half-day job. In my case I did it myself, but if you have to pay for it that will considerably increase the cost.
