In reply to the discussion: My Atheist Xmas tree painting [View all]DENVERPOPS
(8,820 posts)29. I went to a high school that was
probably 70?% jewish... Most of the kids families had a manora (sp?) AND a christmas tree........(of course they called it a Channukah Bush) LOL
Like me and a lot of people, we all looked at Christmas as a Traditional Holiday in spite of all the Christmas carols and christian hype
When ever there was a Jewish Holiday, the halls at school were empty.....LOL I used to kid all my jewish friends that they shouldn't be allowed out of school for the Christmas Holidays......LOL
Of course, the difference between then and now, is that back then we all respected each others religious beliefs and didn't try to cram our personal religious beliefs down other's throats......
enough said......

I can't remember seeing an Impressionistic Winter scene before. It seems a natural fit.
