Even if you're a big enough jerk to not care about the animals, that's just crazy. We don't have elk where I live, but we have plenty of white tailed deer, and hitting one of those guys can easily total a car. (Ask me how I know.
) Elk are waayyy bigger than white tails. I can't imagine not driving super cautiously around critters that size. I guess some people are just idiots.
