Noise machine or white noise app on your phone ? Usually they have a lot of nature sounds on them

Yes I have those going 24/7. It doesn't begin to mask loud heavy thuds unfortunately.

I actually have black salt. I think it's from Afghanistan. I like the sulfur smell.

As for North Carolina, my grandmother retired to Black Mountain and loved it there.

I've heard of a college that was called Black Mountain College. In the 50's. A lot of famous artists
