Since the relationship between humans and canines has gone on for thousands of years.

I agree that people should be responsible for their pets, in more ways than one. Dogs that bite people should definitely be leashed, and probably muzzled if they are going to be walked in public.

But as others have said, most of us here consider our dogs to be beloved family members. And as we all know, there are far more people that should be leashed, with someone taking responsibility for them.
